Hello,

Lalildis is the name that we never gave to our first doll, even if it is the name we would have liked for her if she wasn't already born with another name. The second doll we made was also born with another name and she didn't have the chance to be called Lalildis. The next ones, they did start to be called Lalildis, but as the first two, they can also change their name. We would like each of our dolls to have a different name and this name to be chosen by those that accept them in their houses.

Some old remnants and a few remains of wool were the almost unexpected beginning of our first "lalildis", although she was never called this way. It was a real gift. A gift for whom she was addressed to and a gift for us that had seen her born from the vague idea of what we had the feeling she could become, or the idea of what we would like her to become.

Our "lalildis", no matter their name, are small cloth dolls, like the usual ones, but made as never before. because each one of them is new, unique, unrepeatable. Each "lalildis" that is born in our little studio is a new "lalildis" and nobody before, not even us, has never made something similar. Unique and unrepeatable.

All our "lalildis" have been made up by hand from the beginning to the end of the process. They have been sewed by hand patiently. We make all their clothes with our own patterns, sometimes by knitting and other times by cutting and sewing. Every time it is possible, we try to use wool remains and old clothes lacking of use, trying to give them a new life.

The "lalildis" are beautiful, and we make an effort for that and for that they may be used as decorative objects, but above everything they are dolls to play with. You can change them their clothes, shoes, and even their hairstyles, and add varied accessories to them.

The haystack needle is the only work-tool we use in our little studio situated in our home, an ancient barn annexed to an old village house located in the heart of the Old Castile, very near to the Ebro.

We hope you will receive lalildis into your hands with the same affection that she came from ours.
